Wry (aka. Helen)

Title: SUPREME COMMANDER
Researcher, planner, communications officer, logistics expert, financial adviser, entertainment coordinator, nagivator navigator, co-pilot, bow paddler, quartermaster, chef, photographer and fairly successful slots player.

I have no home town. I was raised an army brat with constant moves between houses, towns, cities and provinces. This probably accounts for my desire to 'See The World'. I definitely have a case of wanderlust.

After 42 years holding down various 'Jobs' - cattle-girl, fruit picker, baby sitter, house cleaner, secretary, computer programmer and finally management, my only job now is to try and manage Crusty. Forty-one years of marriage seems like four. I am happiest when we spend our time travelling and discovering new things together.

Crusty (aka. Dann)

Rank: MINION
Organizer, packer, steerer, carrier, driver, fixer, cleaner, blogger, journaler and yes-man ma'am!.

I was born, raised and schooled in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada and married during my third and last year at college. I graduated from the Survey Technology program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario.

I spent 41 years in the work force. Thirty years as a GPS Data Analyst at Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa, Ontario and 11 years as either a temporary employee, or a part time or seasonal worker in a number of different fields.

I have earned a salary as a ... paper-boy, baby sitter, lumber stacker, carpenter’s assistant, gardener and grounds keeper, lifeguard, swimming instructor, house painter, interior decorator, canoe ranger, survey instrument man, dynamite barge inspector, gps data analyst, woodworker, cabinet maker, flat-water canoeing instructor and a wilderness canoeing guide.

I've been happily retired since February of 2003.

I came to visit Loaf, but soon found myself wandering into The Four Corners and the Arches. Great job on the site guys! Have you ever heard of a 'dynamite barge inspector' being pensioned off?
